H2G was established in 2014, inheriting the technical heritage of the historic Galiotto Marcello company, which had been active in the knitting machine industry since the 1970s.
Drawing on decades of experience in knitting machine maintenance and needle bed cleaning, the company pioneered a groundbreaking approach that reshaped the standards of textile machine care.
It was within this context that H2G developed and patented the first textile cleaning machine capable of cleaning the entire needle bed without removing, shifting or loosening the needles — a revolutionary step for operators of flat knitting machines of any brand.
This innovation was originally born from a simple yet pressing need: finding a faster, safer, and more efficient way to clean knitting machine needle beds without the laborious process of disassembling hundreds of needles.
Traditional water-based cleaning had long carried the stigma of rust, making many manufacturers reluctant to adopt it. However, H2G overturned this belief by designing a fully automatic cleaning process based on pressurised fluid and a controlled mixture of demineralised water and a specially formulated detergent.
In partnership with an Italian chemical manufacturer, H2G developed a non-aggressive, non-corrosive detergent—exclusive to H2G—that guarantees effective needle bed cleaning while protecting delicate components from oxidation.
What initially began as an internal solution offered to local knitting factories quickly transformed into a large-scale industrial project. The first prototype, almost created for fun, evolved into a complete line of industrial cleaning machines now adopted by manufacturers worldwide.
Today, H2G’s team works closely with customers by offering technical expertise and knowledge-sharing.
